In the Huron League opener Flat Rock prevailed in a tight pitching dual 3-1 vrs Grosse Ile. The Rams scored 2 runs in the 1st inning added 1 more in the 6th inning and hung on to win their 1st game of the year. Michael Simons threw 5 innings of 2 hit ball allowing 1 run with 7 strike outs. Brant Mullins earned the save with 2 scoreless innings. The offense was led by Nick Kopp and Seth Bogataj who each had a hit and an RBI. Chad Tamsen and Jake Green each added a hit and a run scored.

Flat Rock Rams JV knocked in eight runs in the second on its way to a 14-1 victory over Grosse Ile on Wednesday. Jacob Booms, Wyatt Clark, Nick Bryant, Lexio Cerroni, Ravion Davis, and Joe Kawula all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
Bryant earned the win for Flat Rock Rams JV. He surrendered one run on zero hits over four and a third innings, striking out nine. Cerroni threw two-thirds of an inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Driscoll took the loss for Grosse Ile. He surrendered nine runs on three hits over one and one-third innings, striking out three.
Cerroni went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Flat Rock Rams JV in hits. Flat Rock Rams JV was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Booms made the most plays with ten.
